Making a typeface

Map of the area of which the stickers were collected:

Typeface based on the roads:
The typeface has been created by using only the roads to form the typeface . This road structure comes from the area in Leeds that the stickers were found. The typeface’s anatomy, with the shapes of the bowls, gives it a sticker like personality. It is also san serif, also keeping to this appearance. This helps to communicate/contrast with theme of stickers in Leeds.

Lowercase

Uppercase
Experimentation with stylising the type:
Once forming the title using the typeface, in photoshop I used the blur tool and then applied the emboss filter to make it appear pole like as many of the stickers were found stuck on poles.

Upon exploring ways to make it appear 3D, in illustrator I used the 3D tool with the wire option, resulting in a structure with the letters built in.
